Tea Cup: Yixing Clay: Small, 3 oz
Clay deposits from the Yixing region have been used in the making of teapots since the Song Dynasty (960 - 1279). The clay is prized for its porousness and ability to absorb the flavour subtleties of teas over time. It is said that with a well seasoned Yixing teapot you can make a pot simply by pouring hot water in it. This charming Yixing tea set is handcrafted and made outside of the city of Yixing in China.
These Yixing Clay teacups are 3 oz and have 4 in a box.
